Set in Mumbai, Sacred Games delves into the city's intricate web of organized crime, corruption, politics and espionage that lie beneath India's economic renaissance. It is an epic masterwork of exceptional richness and power that interweaves the lives of the privileged, the famous, the wretched and the bloodthirsty. Sartaj Singh, a Mumbai police officer, receives an anonymous phone call from a gangster who threatens to blow up the entire city. Amid the corrupt standards of Indian law enforcement begins a battle between a 'nobody' cop and ruthless gangster who perceives (sometimes) himself to be a God. Sex, politics, crime, suspense with the rawness of anurag's direction makes it one of most exciting thing that one can find on internet today. I started watching the much hyped series and found that show justifies the hype created and somewhere surpasses it. This show is certainly a big leap from Orthodox indian Television series and Cinema, the content is fresh, performances are fabulous and yes the creative independence that Netflix gives to its directors has been exploited marvelously. A big Kudos. I see all the reviews and people have same feelings and opinions about it. I want to say that I find it kind of GOT like where they kill the character people fall in love with or start liking, and at the end of the series coms up with the amazing secret which will make you feel why it needs to finish?? Shouldn't it keep going and going.. ???
